Radars are awesome

I disagree with this De Losso guy (one generation my junior, boy i am getting very old). Radars are in principle a very good idea. Of course, if they cant be detected.

Otherwise they are shit, and probably increase accidents. Why are they so good?
Because uncertainty forces drivers to drive below max speed throughout. And uncertainty means you dont need zillion radars to do the job. Further, this equilibrium is achieved at a very low cost also because you economize tremendously on labor, reallocating officers to more labor-intensive tasks, such as patrolling.

Radars are awesome.

ps. hey, toninho, where the fuck are you hidding now? MA, USA?

  1. X you don't know anything. You don't understand incentives. Your argument would be true if people could not avoid paying the fees. Also drivers don't mind committing crimes if they are not going to jail anyway.

Besides, if radars were a good idea, they would be disseminated in advanced civilizations. Why aren't they?

In any case, I don't care about your opinions.
